Paula Mendoza’s jewelry is predominantly made of sterling silver and most items are designed gold plated. The jewelry will retain its beauty and shine when handled properly. We advise that all jewelry is handled with care and cleaned with a soft cloth where the jewelry has embellishments of precious and semi-precious stones; it is important not to wear during outdoor activities such as playing sport, bike-riding or swimming, as the stones may become loose and be lost.
Please do not wear jewelry when using with any harmful cleaning products. Do not allow your jewelry to come into contact with perfumes, chemical detergents or any fluids that may cause discoloring or damage the surface in any way. Exposure to high temperatures may cause silver to tarnish. Please do not leave silver lying in the sun or locked in a humid cabinet. Silver will tarnish if immersed in salty water, spas or swimming pool, so jewelry should be removed in these situations. Please be careful not to wear jewelry in situations where contact may occur if knocked into hard or rough surfaces. If silver becomes tarnished, please use a soft silver polishing cloth which may be purchased from most jewelry suppliers.
