Paula Mendoza is a jewelry designer based in New York City.
Her love for aesthetics influenced and motivated her to start designing jewelry at a very young age. For Paula, the inspiration behind the meaning of the circle has been a significant aspect to her work. This shape is not only symbolic in the representation of balance between cause & effect, but also for its feminine essence. Thus a huge element in each of her collections is this shape, which has now become her trademark look.
Another notable characteristic is how Colombia serves as one of her major inspirations; not only was she born there but it’s also the location of her workshop where the jewelry is created and it’s the source of raw emeralds. Paula’s jewelry exemplifies the richness of Colombian gold and the power of each emerald’s green – promoting not only the love of her country but also the beauty it can create.
Paula’s jewelry and eclectic designs have become extremely popular amongst women of all ages, and has made it to the most reputable retailers worldwide such as Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Harvey Nichols. The jewelry’s presence and popularity have increased through celebrities and bloggers using her eye-catching pieces. Such popularity has lead the brand to be featured in countless publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, InStyle W Magazine, and cover of Allure Magazine, establishing the jewelry’s recognition.
