Who makes them?
It is very easy to lose sight of how things are made or by whom things are made in the fast-paced fashion industry. We as a brand think it is extremely important to share with our clients the backbone of this brand, which is the people who make the jewelry.
Since the inception of PMJ, Paula has made working with artisans her priority. By working with Colombian artisans, we not only have provided stable employment for these families but also have created a platform to showcase their unparalleled craft.
Please meet below the artisans responsible for creating these designs, artisans that are part of our PM world
What are they made of/where it comes from?
All of our pieces are 24 kt gold plated brass. You will find some of our collections include semi-precious stones and many include raw emeralds – a native stone to the designer’s country.
Everything used in the designs are sourced locally in Colombia. We make a conscious choice to source our materials with the environment in mind. Our gold is sourced conflict free and our emeralds are raw and from conflict free mines
We consider the brand to be both social and environmentally sustainable, as we provide jobs and stable employment to these artisans and for our locally sourced Colombian materials. Thus, with every PM purchase you are supporting a brand which respects the environment and the people that its connected to.
